Eco Emi Box June 2011

The world of "green", natural and organic products can be overwhelming.  I have spent money on products in the past and been underwhelmed, but I have also found products that work wonders - all without the help of harsh, toxic chemicals.

Eco Emi plans to make the discovery of quality, safe products easy.  Their monthly subscription sample program takes the guess work out of the world of "Green".
The June Eco Emi Box.
This sample program does differ from Birchbox, in that this box is more of a lifestyle box, and the sample sizes are smaller.
June Eco Emi - Cosmetic samples, soap and an organic wax candle.
I think that there is a great deal of potential to learn about some very good organic, Free Trade products through Eco Emi.
Expect the unexpected - a Stain Eraser for clothes and a Facial Mask!
Some of the products I received this month were heavily scented and overwhelming to my senses, but there were some surprises, too - like the Auromere Ayurvedic - Herbal Soaps and the Pure Light - Organic Coconut Wax Candle.
Eco Emi features a variety of organic samples.
While I enjoyed this months EE, I can't say that I felt like I got my $15 worth. But I love the concept of natural products, and so I will continue with this program.

For $15 per month, get a package of 5 - 10 samples of organic, eco-friendly or Fair Trade products.

What's in my Beach Bag?

Coach Poppy Graffiti Tote.
At the end of last summer I decided not to hold out any longer... I finally purchased this Coach Poppy Graffiti Tote.  I had my eye on it for some time, with the intention of using it for the beach and for when I go on cruises.

Today, I was able to use it - it was the perfect day for the beach - so off we went, Coach tote in tow...

And it worked out perfectly!  I don't like to carry my whole life to the beach with me, but there are a few essentials that I need and they did fit perfectly into this tote.

What's in my Beach Bag?
So, what exactly do I carry around in there?
- iPhone
- iPad
- Sub Zero stainless water bottle
- Car Keys - Gustto Alina Leather Coin Purse
- Novel - Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
- Mini battery operated fan
- Bejewelled Tissue Clutch Bag from Accessorize
- Cosmetic bag with:
*Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
*Fresh Sugar Hand Cream
*iPhone earphones
*Liquid Face Product - DDF (Doctor's Dermatologic Formula) Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew
*Kerstin Florian Correcting Oil-Free Daily Defense SPF 50
*Sircuit Cosmeceuticals - Molecular Mist
*Tweezerman tweezers
*hair clip
*hair band
*Sleep Pretty in Pink earplugs
*Prada tissue holder
*Secret Powder Fresh mini deodorant
*Paper Soap - Orange Blast - $1 for 15 sheets at Pier 1
*Advil
*Trident Xtra Care in Cool Mint
*pen?
*nail tool??
Coach Poppy Beach Towel
I usually hate everything to match exactly, but I couldn't resist this Coach beach towel - a perfect way to camouflage the tote! ;-)

My New Fragrances... How to get FREE Dolce and Gabbana Perfume

I decided to purchase some new perfume to complete my collection.  At this point in time, I really have a small but select perfume collection that I happy with.  But never say "never", because next week I may discover something new and then... there I go buying perfume again!
My latest new fragrances, including Gucci and D&G.
I enjoy wearing different perfume each day, just as I have a habit of wearing different earrings each day.  So long as I have earrings in my ears, and perfume on, I feel 'finished'.

Dolce and Gabbana Favorites - 3 L'imperatrice and 18 La Lune.
D&G have a spectacular unisex coffret of fragrances, the names of which are inspired by tarot cards!  The interesting thing about these fragrances, is that you can mix some of them, to wear at the same time.  This is rare in the fragrance world.  If you purchase the coffret at Sephora.com, it comes with an even better surprise... a free, single, full size version of your choice!  See details below.
Sephora's D&G Coffret and Gucci Guilty.
The only drawback I find is that the light, fresh scent of these fragrances often don't last all day, and you may want to reapply them in the late afternoon, or early evening.
Gucci Guilty
My other latest additions:

Gucci - Guilty

I first discovered Guilty in Bloomingdales in NYC last year.  What took me so long?

Notes:
Mandarin, Pink Pepper, Peach, Lilac, Geranium, Amber, Patchouli.

Aquolina Pink Sugar Rollerball
Aquolina - Pink Sugar Rollerball

Purchased to carry around in my purse, the Rollerballs from Sephora are the epitome of convenience.
Notes:
Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder

D&G - Coffret featuring:
- 1 Le Bateleur
- 3 L'Imperatrice: Confident. Successful. Charismatic.
- 6 L'Amoureux: Romantic. Desirable. Sensual.
- 10 La Roue de La Fortune: Adventurous. Creative. Experimental.
- 18 La Lune: Mysterious. Hypnotizing. Delicate.

To get a full size D&G perfume for free, buy the Coffret for $65 at www.sephora.com.

Sample the fragrances and choose your favorite.
- Fill in the enclosed coupon.
- Take the coupon into a Sephora store and redeem it for a fragrance.

My choice - D&G 18 La Lune!

UPDATE! ******As of June 24th, 2011 this Limited Edition set has sold out at Sephora.com!!
